Title XX Neighborhoods

Title XX neighborhoods are targeted areas in intown Atlanta that have been deemed in special and immediate need of revitalization and growth. It has been demonstrated that the residents of these communities tend to have a higher rate of negative growth than other comparable neighborhoods. Title XX funds are available to community-based organizations whose projects or activities:
  • Are included in the current, approved project plan
  • Provide meaningful benefit to the residents of the original Empowerment Zone census tracts
  • Seek to achieve the overarching federal goals of the Empowerment Zone authorizing legislation – economic self support; self-sufficiency; and addressing the abuse, neglect or exploitation of vulnerable children and adults and support of families
